BENEDICTO “BONG” DUCAT

Born in 1957 in Manila.  UST Fine Arts, where he received the Benavidez award during graduation.  Consistently a winner in art contests way back in his high school and college days. More notable shows include those at the PICC, Midtown Hotel, Fra Angelico Gallery and the SM Megamall. Strongly influenced by impressionist painter Ibarra dela Rosa whon he met at the Dimasalang Group art sessions. Works carried by major Manila galleries adorn lobbies of several Philippine 5-star hotels. Noted for his plants, flowers and nature paintings done in droplet - like brush strokes and using unusual bright colors --creating an image of harmonious fantasy.
Taught painting at the Technical University of the Philippines and at the PWU.
