CESAR BUENAVENTURA

Buenaventura's works generally conveyed quiet, serene and tranquil impressions reminiscent of Fernando Amorsolo and Irineo Miranda. A multi-awarded artist in numerous painting competitions, his works were often selected for exhibition not only in the national art scene but also in exhibits abroad such as in New York and Washington D.C., U.S.A. and likewise in Florence and Naples, Italy; Berne, Germany; and Zurich, Switzerland. He owned an art gallery on A. Mabini St. in Ermita which was run by his wife, Lourdes, for 37 years.
